Have You Heard?

If you're the type who can spot a talented designer before mainstream retailers start the mark-up process, we've got news for you. Houston will be one of only a handful of cities to host The Find, a traveling show featuring up and coming, but as of yet, undiscovered designers.

Shoppers will find jewelry, handbags, shoes, and ready-to-wear items for purchase. You can bet the Houston show will be one of the best -- the concept was created by Houstonian Chelsea Breyer who also happens to be the creative force behind the online retail venture "77th Street". The next show (featuring adult and children's apparel and accessories) is scheduled for October 9th and 10th. A secret hand shake won't get you in the door. Buy your ticket on line for $8 (pay pal only) or $10 (cash only) at the door.

Grad a friend, put on your walking shoes and FIND something truly remarkable. The bragging rights will be all yours!

Do The Math

Hit the bar at Fleming's before 7pm and take advantage of their current promotion: 5 cocktails, 5 wines, and 5 appetizers, $6 each until 7pm. We stopped by last week and were loving the Burger Bar which includes a sliced filet mignon burger, crab cake burger, ahi tuna burger and a portobello mushroom burger. For those who can't make it out of the office before 7 -- the $6 burgers are also available in the dining room. Nice wine selection to boot.
