Texas Tea

Afternoon Tea is a delightful experience at The St. Regis Houston. It is a two-hour experience that includes delicious finger sandwiches, scones, desserts, and of course, tea. In addition to tea, guests can add champagne as an enhancement to their experience. The setting for this tea is a lovely lounge filled with different groupings of chairs and couches, which are arranged in a prime manner for enjoying the company of others. While sipping on tea, a harpist delights the room with lovely melodic sounds. The St. Regis does a wonderful job of creating a very traditional and authentic tea experience.

Postino Wine Café

With a packed restaurant, full patio and a long bench filled with eagerly waiting restaurant-goers on a Tuesday night during summertime, there is no question that Postino Wine Café is a hit in the heights. When people are willing to brave the Texas summer heat, it is obvious there must be something special about a restaurant or in the case of Postino many special somethings. Postino offers a wine and beer selection that is not an extremely long list, but they do have a little bit of everything. However, the real reason people are raving about Postino is because of the food, especially the bruschetta! The bruschetta at Postino is extremely large and is also offered in a range of flavors that vary from the traditional tomato bruschetta.

Butcher’s block

Even better, the bruschetta comes in orders of four, and you can choose four different flavors to enjoy. Flavors include brie and apples with fig spread, warm artichoke spread, prosciutto with figs and mascarpone, smoked salmon with pesto and more. These pieces are large enough to make a meal of, and it works great as a meal for two if you also order the Butcher’s Block, which includes meats, cheese, olives, hummus and other delicious treats. Postino’s menu includes several other appetizer options as well as salads, paninis and a kid’s menu. Postino should be a must-try restaurant for Houstonians who surely will not be disappointed!
