Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest annual fundraiser for America's largest food bank.
Planned by volunteers, HRW donates 100% of the funds raised to the Houston Food Bank.
Participating restaurants make donations to the Food Bank based upon how many brunches,
lunches and dinners they sell during the event.

“Art Meets Style”

Artist Tom duBois and Donna Valverde, founder of Valvisions

“Art Meets Style” is an Art Exhibition that launched with a kick-off reception at D-Vine Salon. Hosted by salon owner Sarah Ward and stylist Mark Cortez, the event featured the artwork of Tom duBois, appetizers and wine. duBois’ artwork is on display at D-Vine through the end of September, and is the first in a series of exhibits by various artists. Stop in and view the extraordinary art.


“Epiphany”

All sales benefit Valvisions Foundation, a Houston-based non-profit organization, created to support and protect marginalized African girls, and raise awareness of and ultimately help end the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM).

OPERA IN THE HEIGHTS WILL CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY AND NEW YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ORGANIZATION WITH ARTS APPRECIATION EVENT:
HOSTED BY FLASHBACK FILMS, INC., AT SILVER STREET STUDIOS

Opera in the Heights (Oh!) will be the star at Silver Street’s “Second Saturday” on Aug. 8 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., hosted by Michael Raak of Flashback Films Inc., to kick off Oh!’s 20th anniversary season. Although the focus is on opera, the event will also celebrate the visual arts, as Oh! shares the space with Foto Fest International and its exhibit I Am A Camera, along with open studios for the artists housed at Silver Street. “Second Saturday” is free and open to the public.
