Delish Del Friscos Grille

Chef Jeff Taylor

HHH met Chef Jeff Taylor of Del Frisco’s Grille in West Ave. Chef Taylor was at the Houston Home Show demonstrating his Cajun Crabcakes-- just one of his specialty dishes at the bistro. Chef Taylor is the only chef in the company to have worked at all three restaurants-Del Frisco’s, Sullivan’s and Del Frisco’s Grille, He said there are plans for a Woodlands location to open soon, and another to- be- announced location before the 2017 Super Bowl in H-town. Chef Taylor creates daily specials for the Grille and has a great Easter Brunch menu planned.

It’s a bird…it’s a plane. No, it really is Superman and Wonder Woman, along with their Super Friends at the Superhero Soirée. More than 250 friends of Crossroads School came out to support Houston’s premiere school for exceptional children. Guests accessors with superhero gear, while others moved through The Houstonian Hotel ballroom in traditional gala attire. The night brought in $156,000 for the Superheroes that attend Crossroads. Dr. Gila Arnoni, Head of School for Crossroads School, personally welcomed and thanked guests for their support of Crossroads. Emmy-award winning investigative reporter Amy Davis of KPRC 2 News served as emcee.

Along with Davis, auctioneer extraordinaire Tracy Yeaman handled Crossroads’ signature Dessert and Live Auctions. The program included a heartwarming story by Crossroads parents Estella and Randy Hale on how the school has helped their son to grow personally and academically. Crossroads’ “outside-the-box” teaching philosophy includes a multi-level individualized curriculum, nurturing environment, and a student/teacher ratio of eight or fewer students per teacher. The result, K-8th graders can achieve their full academic potential, and transition into a traditional private or public school.
