The Barnes and Noble across from the Galleria has been replaced by an entirely different and unique store, Arhaus. Arhaus is a furniture store that offers a wide range of pieces from dining to bedrooms. The store has two floors filled with beautifully crafted furniture. Many of the pieces have a modern edge to them, such as chairs that are shaped to curve with the wood like a tree. Arhaus prides itself on being eco-friendly and creating many pieces from recycled materials. They gather these materials from all over the world, and it is very interesting to think about the history behind each piece of furniture offered. With the diversity of items offered in Arhaus, there is at least one item to please everyone. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially if you have something that you are looking for in particular. However, Arhaus is also a great store to wander into and browse through the wonderland of eclectic furniture until you find the piece that speaks to you or will make the perfect addition to your home.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2013, more than 300 Houston ladies gathered at Tootsies. The night was filled with haute attire and summer glamour. The ladies of Women of Wardrobe (WOW) were there to enjoy hip sips, light bites and amazing shopping while celebrating WOW’s 10th Anniversary. Ladies enjoyed a variety of palate pleasers from top Houston restaurants: Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Corner Table, Triniti and Armando’s. Culinary delights included ceviche tostadas, mini chicken taquitos, and mexican meatballs from Armandos; unreal paleo gourmet pizzas from Corner Table, Triniti’s sophisticated and sweet strawberry shortcake had the ladies smiling, and Eddie V’s salted caramel panna cotta had them swooning! All perfectly accompanied by Houston’s own SlimRita cocktails and white wine from, the new to Houston, Stack Wines.
Iconic fashion designer, Nicole Miller, was introduced by emcee, Rachel McNeill (KPRC). Miller, who made an unforgettable appearance, presented her chic Fall 2013 contemporary collection. Also featured at the event were Houston jewelry designer Claudia Lobão and show-stopping handbag designer Annsley Popov of Presmer. Chairs Kristy Bradshaw, Lindsey Brown and Marie Louise Kinder greeted guests as they arrived.

Nancy Levicki and Lauren Levicki

Smiling ear to ear were Dress for Success Houston’s President and Co-Founder Nancy Levicki with Tootsies owner, Mickey Rosmarin, as they remembered the premier event ten years ago.
