Bistro Alex
Bistro Alex inside Hotel Sorella will be open for dinner between 6pm to 9pm on December 24th.

Damian’s
Damian’s will be open on December 24th for regular lunch and dinner service,
11am to 2pm and 5:30pm to 10pm. Full menu available.

Étoile Cuisine et Bar
Chef Philippe Verpiand will serve a 3-course prix fixe Christmas
Eve menu for $56 per person as well as a children's menu for only $25

Hotel ICON
On December 24th, Line & Lariat inside Hotel ICON will offer a Christmas Eve menu. Enjoy items like tamales and wild game summer sausage with artisan cheeses. There will be an eggnog and wassail table set up, plus plenty of Christmas music and movies playing in the lobby to keep you merry all day long.

Nosh Bistro
Try something different this Christmas Eve with a four course meal at Nosh Bistro. Choose one of the following four appetizers to share with the table - lamb pizza, shrimp fritters, potato dumplings, crispy rice squares. Following the shared plate, choose between tuna tartare with fried kale greens or lentil soup with roasted garlic. Nosh on one of the four fabulous entree options - lamb loin, roasted quail wrapped with guanciale, masala salmon and mushroom risotto. Cap it all off with a chia tea cake with fresh mint cream or saffron spheres with cardamom rice pudding ($65 per person).

Philippe Restaurant + Lounge
Philippe Restaurant + Lounge will be open on December 24th for dinner service only, from 4pm to 9pm. Be sure to try their new four- or six-course holiday tasting menus, available with wine pairings.

RA Sushi

Wishing for some good deals this holiday season? You’re in luck: RA Sushi will be offering all day happy hour pricing on December 24th from 11am to 4pm. The happy hour menu features more than 35 appetizer, sushi and drink selections ranging from $2.25 to $7.25. Try some sushi favorites like the Viva Las Vegas Roll and Tootsy Maki or a specialty cocktail such as the Emperor’s Cucumberita or Strawberry Saketini.

Royal Sonesta Hotel
On December 24th, The Restaurant inside the Royal Sonesta Hotel will feature a special four-course prix-fixe menu ($70), in addition to regular a la carte menu items. The Restaurant will keep its normal hours: 6:30am to 2pm, and 5:30pm to 10pm.

STRAITS Asian Bistro
STRAITS Asian Bistro in CITYCENTRE will be open on December 24th for lunch service only,
from 10am to 4pm.

TQLA
TQLA will be open on December 24th for regular lunch and dinner service, from 11am to 10pm.

On the 25th, Bistro Alex inside Hotel Sorella will be open from 11am to 5pm, featuring a holiday three-course menu in addition to their full menu items.

Hotel ICON
On December 25th, Line & Lariat inside Hotel ICON will be offering a Christmas Day buffet from 11am to 4pm. Enjoy items such as beef and pork tamales, oven roasted turkey, applewood smoked ham, cornbread and sausage dressing with giblet gravy, candied yams, roasted cranberry-ancho chile relish, and Mexican chicken mole with rice and corn tortillas. Save room for pumpkin and pecan pies, fruitcakes and a Yule log. Cost is $42.50 per person, $15 for children. Kids 5 years and under eat for free.

Monarch Bistro at Hotel ZaZa
Enjoy your Christmas Day at Monarch Bistro in Hotel ZaZa from 11 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Executive Chef Jonathan Jones has revamped the menu at Monarch Bistro and put his own touches on every detail - including the mouth-watering, four-course holiday menu. Christmas Tail Gingerbread Doghouse Contest and Auction
benefitting Lucky Dog Rescue

The fur was flying at the Royal Sonesta Hotel as ten toques battled it out for the best gingerbread doghouse at the 4th Annual Christmas Tail contest and silent auction, benefiting local non-profit Lucky Dog Rescue. General Manager Monte Hansen and Lucky Dog founder Millicent Gerdes welcomed a pack of fans that raised nearly $7,000 for rescue efforts – thanks in part to some very eager young bidders planning to showcase the creations at their elementary schools. Among those enjoying the fun: winning chef Kevin Bryant of L’Olivier, Liz Gorman, Cathi Walsh, Kim Padgett, Rebecca McElroy, Katy Mayell, Marcy DeLuna, Jodie Eisenhardt and judges Carol Isaak Barden, Greg Morago, Cleverley Stone and Michelle Mantor. Participating chefs included Monica Glenn of Uchi, Neal Cox of The Houstonian, Johnny Wesley of Killen’s Steakhouse with Patricia Burdette of Crescent Moon Wine Bar, Matthew Zoch of Prego, Samantha Mendoza of Triniti, Richard Esquivel of BraeBurn Country Club, Doris Fung of the Houston Country Club, Fabrice Maraine of Phoenicia Specialty Foods Downtown, Ashley Petersen and Ric Rosser of Saltgrass Steak House plus Jennifer Hill of Katsuya.





The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC) Friends Guild
Board hosted the 5th Annual Holiday Coffee

Stephanie Perkins, Friends Guild Board member and generous hostess, opened up her beautiful home for this festive occasion to gather supporters and friends of The CAC. It was another successful Holiday Coffee event and guests opened their hearts showing incredible generosity during the holiday season bringing toys, gift cards and donations for the children and teens served by The CAC.The morning was also filled with many holiday shopping opportunities that benefited The CAC including beautiful Christmas ornaments designed by children served by The CAC. Tiffany Natkin with Tickleprint and Natkin Cooks brought a wonderful array of stationery products, notecards with artwork from the children served by The CAC, Santa treats and delicious cake balls, and generously donated 30% of the proceeds to The CAC. Laurel Ross represented the Elizabeth Irvine Jewelry Collection and shared the exquisite jewelry with everyone donating 10% of the proceeds to The CAC. A big hit of the morning that had everyone’s attention was the Celebrity Tree Auction. The three trees were designed by Kenneth Cole, Rachel Roy and Jessica Simpson and were generously donated by Jane Dale Owen. Elaine Stolte, Executive Director of The CAC, thanked everyone for attending and for their support and involvement throughout the year. Stephanie Perkins, gracious hostess and one of the Event Chairs for the Spirit of Spring Luncheon, along with Ursaline Hamilton, also an Event Chair for the Spirit of Spring Luncheon, reminded everyone to save the date of April 5, 2013 for the 14th Annual Spirit of Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Westin Galleria.
