Luv Ya Blue!

From NFL Quarterback to creator of a Texas-style seasoning, Dan Pastorini continues to channel his passion in the kitchen. Playing off the success of his original creation, Dan Pastorini’s Texas Style Rub, Pastorini launched Dan Pastorini’s Quality Foods, a full line of premium seasonings. Due to consumer demand, Pastorini has expanded his business with the addition of two new products, Texas Style Hickory Rub and Garlic & Herb Seasoning. “We are pleased to introduce these two new creations and our new name,” says CEO Dan Pastorini. “By continuing to launch new products and add distribution channels across the U.S., we are taking barbequing to a new level!”

The Texas Style Hickory Rub, an award-winning recipe, combines the rich flavor of hickory with a savory blend of premium spices. Adding a hint of sweetness and smoke, it pairs well with beef, chicken and pork recipes. The third addition to the expanding product line, Dan Pastorini’s Garlic & Herb Seasoning, can be used for flavoring pork, pasta, sauces, chicken and seafood. Perfect for you holiday feasts, or give them as gifts. Available at numerous stores; go to their website to find the store closest to you.

Liz Glanville graciously opened her fabulous store, Deville Fine Jewelry to host the Kick Off party, for the upcoming Passion for Fashion luncheon. The chilly weather brought out the most fashionable winter ensembles of the over 80 guests. Remarks were made to the well-heeled crowd by Luncheon Chairmen Liz Glanville and Paula Fyhr. They recognized Houston Community College Chancellor Dr. Mary Spangler and updated everyone on the February 28, 2013 luncheon. The featured guest will be Terron Schaefer, currently on NBC’s “Fashion Star,” and Senior Vice President of Creative & Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue. Terron will be interviewed by Clifford Pugh and be flying in directly from Milan from the fashion shows, to discuss the current view of style along with a fashion presentation from Saks. Special thanks went to Designer Sponsor Saks and Houston store general manager Terry Zmyslo for their support. The luncheon proceeds benefit the Fashion and Interior Design programs at Houston Community College. Introduced and congratulated was the upcoming recipient of the 2013 HCC Design Society Fashion Icon Award Sheridan Williams. Honorary Chairmen Rosemarie Johnson and Melissa Mithoff applauded along with co-chairman Mary Ann McKeithan (fellow co-chair Kelli Cohen Fein sent her congrats). Also expressing excitement for the evening’s turn-out were Dr. Bill Harmon, President of HCC Central—home to HCC’s fashion programs, Kay King, founder of the HCC Fashion Program and Suzette Brimmer, Division Chair, HCC Lifestyle Arts.
