Remember the 1980's, when frozen yogurt stores were on every street corner? Well, frozen yogurt is back on the scene on the east and west coasts, and in Houston. But this time around the yogurt is closer in taste to fruit flavored yogurt than ice cream. The current version of this frozen treat contains active live bacteria, called probiotics, said to build your immune system. This is definitely not your grandmother's frozen yogurt!

Berripop Frozen Yogurt serves all natural, almost exercise-free desserts, in flavors such as raspberry pomegranate, blueberry, and mango. Their many flavors rotate on a weekly basis, and they offer fresh fruit toppings. Out of this world candy and cookie toppings are also available -- but there goes the exercise-free bonus. The posted nutritional information told us the medium raspberry pomegranate we sampled ($3.50 for an 8 oz. serving) came in at 200 calories.

Berripop is on the cutting edge: the yogurt spoons have a neon glow,
WiFi is available, and the shop has a Facebook page and is a tweeter.

Oh yes, did we mention Barbara Bush is a regular at the Uptown Park location?
