Royal Plants

The Beauty of Houseplants, by British authors Tom Gough and David Longman, is a handy guide written expressly for those growing indoor plants. These two ought to know what they are speaking about - Tom is a third generation member of This Company of Florists founded in the UK by his grandfather in 1886. The Company was given the honor of making nearly all the Royal Wedding Bouquets in the last 60 years including that of HM The Queen, Princess Margaret, Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Kent, Duchess of Gloucester, and more recently Diana Princess of Wales and Sarah Duchess of York, and The Coronation Bouquet.

Meet Tom Gough at Cornelius and pick up a copy of his latest book.

More than 220 supporters of the organization, joined event Chairmen: Semmes Burns, Megan Hotze and Blair Pentecost at the Firehouse Saloon, and munched on all-you-can-eat crawfish, sipped cocktails, and grooved to live tunes from Niel Nasset and Hunter McKithan. A Cajun-style competition took place with a washers and corn hole tournament. The event raised more than $10,000 for the organization’s mission of helping women in crisis.
