Pretty as a Picture

Spring is in full swing with charity events and Easter a few weeks away. To find that perfect outfit, we suggest the iconic Kay Unger and her other line, Phoebe Couture. Kay came to Houston to show off her Spring fashions at the St. Luke's Friends of Nursing Fashion Show and Luncheon, and then she made a personal appearance at the chic new Tootsies.

Kay Unger and assistant Emily

Fans of Kay perused her clothes and she talked to each woman individually to
help them find the perfect fit and color. Unger herself undressed a mannequin
for a customer to could try the dress in her size!

After you find that great Kay Unger outfit, leave your car in valet and stroll across the drive for a bite at the new AVA Kitchen & Whiskey Bar. "Good Food Cocktails Wine” is painted on the wall of this sleek new eatery and it sums it up well. The food is both aesthetically and gastronomically pleasing. It’s another hit for the Schiller/Del Grande group.

Don’t Leave Home Without It

Want to be hip, haute and comfortable? Grab a pair of nude sky high platform stilettos plus a gel or foam cushion that covers the entire area around the ball of your foot.

We like Dr. Scholl’s for her ball-of-foot cushion inserts ($8). This little tidbit is easy to pick up at the drug store and is an inexpensive treat for your feet and toes. It’s also just the right size -- enough coverage without being visible in open toe shoes. Happy feet make for a happy girl!
